It’s wheeled onto the green tarmac – a Klingon war vessel ready to strike fear into the heart of the earth. With a sparkling chrome handle, it’ll be like riding a kids bike. Oil and petrol are checked there’s still the odour on my hands as I wrap a claw around the toggle and pull the beast into life. Tense up those muscles and throw a jerky pull back, it emits a few splutters but no roar. Another attempt and it catches, the two stroke chugs into a throaty roar from a grandmothers cackle. The engine now singing like an ultra light aircraft ready to duel with shades of leafy green.
The blades spin like an unfriendly helicopter upside down and start to slaughter the grass. Eating it up blade by blade gobbling grassy arms. The catcher accumulates a compost of shred – green life blood leaching out forming a ferment of grassy liquid at the bottom of the tray, tasting just the way grass does when it’s nipped from the ground and chewed between incisors on a tepid spring day. The engine buzzzzzawwws as it encounters resistance and retains its relative pitch in quick jumpy steps. Sinking down, deeper down, down into a bed of rose petals – sweet scented rose petals, sinking further and further into a freshly made layer of sponge cake relaxation – those little packets of air massaging your senses massage your tongue with lighter than air soufle imaginations. Continue to watch the kaleidoscoping vortex of stripey black and white lines swirling round and round- water down a plug hole – hear your life slurping into the chasm, your watery life disappearing from view until YOU no longer exist and I can implant suggestions and thoughts in your unconscious unconsciousness.
If you need to at any moment you can emerge from this state of safety and calm and be fully alert. For now start to see the things you want to happen, the things you want to be – imagine yourself atop a mountain, driving that Ferrari, relaxing on the yacht off the French Riviera, writing your novel with that view out over the ocean with the crackling log fire behind you while the sun licks an orange band across the sky- whatever it may be for YOU -here it is all possible and you can tell yourself to become and do whatever you desire. Over time your unconscious mind will direct your path and will help you notice things to realise the manifestation of these desires- Using all your senses you willl be tuned in to look out for opportunities using the tinkling bell of intuition , the Picasso colours of opportunity, the fresh bread smell of optimism, the crackling potato chip of newness, all alerting you to the unseen possibilities ignored every day – let your mind take you there… counting down now from 10 to 1 and when I say “one” you will return…….
